Conversation Hearts by Mrs. Parkhurst’s class

Due to reduced art time I was only able to do this project with one fifth grade class. I love listening to students deciding what to write on their heart sculptures. Very few students use traditional sayings.

Winter Landscape

A lovely winter landscape by Claire.  We used the color wheel to show analogous colors, we talked about lines to create trees. We even looked at other impressionist winter paintings. Claire worked hard on all of the skills we discussed and had great success.

Kindergarten self-portrait time

Classroom teachers always tell their students to show them their work. For art teachers that means eraser marks and wipe rags full of custom mixed colors. Well done Gabriella! I can see your work! And it’s spectacular!
