September Work

Here is a look at some of our September work:
First Grade- Starry Night and swirly stars- This work was completed after a brief discussion looking at Vincent van Gogh's world famous painting, "Starry Night".  The discussion emphasized the movement and color in van Gogh's work.

Grade 4- Harvest Still Life- Student's were given a lesson in overlapping and scale.  Student's had the option to draw from observation or from imagination.  Students looked at the work of Paul Cezanne

Grade 5- Formal Portraits-
Created with discussion on what a formal portrait is and the role of the portrait in history.

Square 1 Art- These are some recent images generated for Square 1 Art- A fundraising program much like Art to Remember.  You will be receiving more information about Square 1 Art in the upcoming weeks.  The kids are doing a great job with their picture making!
